From orchard to oven — 7 gluten-free apple recipes

Hi Reader!

Last weekend, we packed up the car and drove to Wisconsin for a little fall adventure—apple picking! My toddler had the best time walking through the orchard, carefully picking apples off the trees, and taking enthusiastic bites out of each one she grabbed.

We ended up coming home with way too many apples (as always)—a mix of Snapdragons, Mosaics (like a sweeter Granny Smith), and Rosalees. They’re all perfect for both snacking and baking, so naturally I started dreaming up what to make first.

If you’re in the same boat with a counter full of apples, here are some of my favorite gluten-free apple recipes to try this season:

Gluten‑Free Apple Crisp

Ready in under an hour and so simple — just toss, top, and bake. Sweet, cinnamon-spiced apples bubble under a buttery oat crumble. All you need to add is a scoop of ice cream and you're set!

Gluten‑Free Apple Cinnamon Muffins

One-bowl, 25-minute muffins filled with apple pieces and warm cinnamon flavor. Perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast or snack. Plus, these ones are vegan, too!

Gluten-Free Apple Cake

A simple snack cake that doesn’t require a stand mixer. Moist, spiced, full of apple pieces and ready in less time than you think.

Gluten-Free Baked Stuffed Apples

When you want something sweet but don’t want a whole pan of dessert. These baked apples take about 10 minutes to prep and feel like a personal treat.

Gluten-Free Apple Fritters

Think bakery-style fritters you can actually pull off at home. Crispy outside, tender apple chunks inside and a light glaze on top.

Gluten-Free Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

These bars start with a buttery shortbread crust, then get topped with a smooth cheesecake layer, spiced apples, and a crumbly topping. A drizzle of salted caramel brings it all together.

Gluten-Free Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

Make ahead breakfast that reheats beautifully all week. Oats, apple chunks, cinnamon and maple syrup — cozy and easy.

I might’ve come home sticky with apple juice on my leggings, but it was worth every minute. If you bake anything from this list I’d love to hear about it or see how it turned out!

Hi Reader! This past weekend, my family and I had the best time doing a full cookie baking day together. We made 4 different recipes from the site, the kitchen smelled amazing, and we were basically elbow-deep in flour and sprinkles all afternoon. My almost two year old had the best time with the cookie cutters even if she kept trying to eat the dough. It was exactly the kind of cozy chaos I love about the holidays. But here's the thing... today is Christmas day and not everyone has time for...
