Hi Reader! Burger season is officially here, and I've been making these on repeat. If you've been buying gluten-free buns from the store and settling for ones that fall apart or taste like cardboard, this is the recipe to bookmark. These gluten-free hamburger buns use the same dough as my gluten-free dinner rolls, but with avocado oil instead of butter to keep the crumb extra soft. They're so incredibly soft and squishy, but sturdy enough to hold a burger with all the toppings. They also freeze well for later so you can enjoy burgers all summer long!
A few notes from testing: the dough needs 1.5 to 2 hours to proof, so plan ahead. And don't skip flattening the dough balls before the proof. I skipped that step in round one and ended up with buns that were way too tall and bready. The flatten-first method is the fix. If you make the hamburger buns, let me know how they turn out! -Meg |

Hi Reader! Our A/C went out again this week, so I've been doing everything I can to avoid turning on the oven. That means a lot of no-cook sides and cold drinks... but some things are worth sweating for. Like my blueberry crumble focaccia. I made a big batch of my hot dog buns at the beginning of the month and I'm really glad I did, because now we can just pull them out of the freezer and grill out this weekend without thinking about it. Here's what's on my menu. Gluten-Free Blueberry Crumble...
Hi there! We have a long weekend coming up here and I have a lot of recipes to share. Whether you're hosting, heading to someone else's place, or just using the extra time to cook something good, here's everything I've been making lately. Gluten-Free Hamburger Buns Most store-bought gluten-free buns crumble the second you pick them up or taste like cardboard. These don't. They're soft enough to bite through but sturdy enough to hold together under a burger with all the toppings. Get Recipe...
Hi Reader! Prime Day ends tomorrow and I've been going through my kitchen to pull together the tools I actually use every single day. These are not random picks. Every single one of these lives in my kitchen and shows up in my recipes. I figured if I'm going to shop Prime Day anyway, I might as well share what I'm grabbing and what I already swear by.
